Wasps 
If you discover a wasp’s nest in or around your property you will obviously want someone to remove it for you. If the nest is in the communal area of a block of flats or a communal garden, Hightown's Repairs Team will arrange for it to be removed. The Repairs Team can be contacted on 01442 292301.

If the offending visitors are in an individual house or garden you should contact the environmental health department of your local council. In many cases they will be able to treat the nest free of charge. 

Common Ants 
The best way to treat an ant’s nest in your property is to use one of the many gel type treatments that are easily available. Hightown will not send a specialist contractor to treat ant’s nests, as our specialists have no treatments available that are better than the ones available to the general public.

Pharaoh Ants 
These ants are very small, yellow to redish brown in colourwith the hind body somewhat darker. Nests usually occur in wall voids, under floors and prefer warm places. They are usually much harder to control than other ants because of their ability to disperse. They are capable of transmitting diseases and for this reason we will deal with this pest for you.

Rats
If you discover a rats' nest in your garden or near your property, you should contact the environmental health department at your local council for advice.
